Connecting your Accept.blue merchant account
Paste your Accept.blue API credentials into Settings so the register can take card payments.
By the end of this article, Novella POS is connected to your own Accept.blue merchant account and ready to take card payments.
What you need first
Novella POS does not create a merchant account for you. You need your own Accept.blue account already set up, with an API key, a PIN and a public tokenization key available from it.
Connect the account
- Open Settings and click the Store Settings card.
- Scroll to Advanced settings and click Edit advanced settings. A confirmation appears explaining that these settings control what customers get charged and how the register talks to your processor. Confirm to continue.
- Under Payment Gateway Connection, choose an Environment:
- Sandbox (testing) for a test account that does not move real money.
- Production (live) to process real cards.
- Paste your Accept.blue API key and PIN.
- Paste your Public (tokenization) key.
- Click Save settings.
Once saved, the summary at the top of Advanced settings shows Connected, along with the environment and the last few characters of the key on file.
Changing credentials later
Come back to the same screen to update them. The API key and PIN fields are left blank when you open the form, so leaving them blank on save keeps whatever is already stored; type a new value only in the one you want to replace.
