Redeeming store credit at checkout
Charge a sale against a customer's store-credit balance instead of cash or card.
By the end of this article, a customer’s store credit has paid for a sale.
Attach the customer
Store credit can only be spent on a sale that has the customer attached. Search for them in the Customer field above the cart before charging. See Looking up a customer at checkout.
Redeem it
- With the customer attached, click Charge.
- Select Store Credit in the payment window. It shows the customer’s available balance and the amount the sale will charge against it.
- Click Charge to complete the sale.
If the customer has no balance, the Store Credit option stays disabled in the payment window.
